In a fictionalized version of Portsmouth, NH, the subtle machine has stuttered; the springs are weak, the mechanism damaged, and the gears only just continuing to turn. Paranoia stalks the streets as a power-mad Prince pursues her agenda, and darker powers wait in the wings, ready to move in if the gears should finally stop. Everyone is a cog in the machine, knowingly or not. Will you struggle to hold the disintegrating structure together? Or will you insert a stick into the Smallest Gear?
