After the nuclear fallout on earth itself, NASA finally gave out the information about new earth and started an evacuation process immediately, shipping everyone out to space, leaving the sick and elderly behind to suffer the post nuclear wasteland. It was discovered that the people living on Old Earth had been corrupted by the radioactive atmosphere and had become terribly mutated.
