Top : Die Roller's Top 100
The Die Roller's Top 100 is a list of the best pen and paper RPG sites out there, as voted on by visitors to Effie's site as well as to the sites listed in the Great Wyrm (our main site index). If your site has been included in the Great Wyrm and you have not otherwise been disqualified, you are eligible to be in the running for the Top 100.
Ranking
Ranking is by Visitor rating, then roughly by popularity. Votes are reduced to the minimum (10 votes) every three months to be fair to the new sites coming in. Rank and Hit Counts are not cleared. Just to be clear, all votes registered in the Great Wyrm count towards the Die Roller's Top 100 — it is not necessary to have a button on your site to qualify. But it helps tremendously.
Rules
Any visitor to RPG Gateway may rate your site and may do so with any number they feel is appropriate. Visitors may rate any given site roughly once per day. The following activites (committed by anyone) will cause your site to be disqualified from the Die Roller's Top 100 (note that you may still be listed in the RPG Gateway database):
- Repeat attempts to vote within 24 hours by using multiple IPs
- Modifying voting code to force a positive or maximum rating
- Repeatedly voting other sites "1" for any reason
- Offering any kind of compensation (money, game points, experience points, etc) in exchange for a vote
Getting Started
To begin, you'll need your unique site ID number. This will be emailed to you once your site is validated and placed in the database. If you're not in Effie's Great Wyrm, Click

If you are already in the database, pick up your site ID number this way: - Find your site in the Great Wyrm (the database)
- Point your mouse at your site link, but don't click
- Look in the lower left corner of your screen. You should see something like http://www.rpggateway.com/cgi-bin/wyrm/jump.cgi?ID=X
- Copy down the value of X. This is your site ID number.
Next, choose a voting button or text from the choices below (or make a button yourself, linking it using the URL you see below). Which one you choose makes no difference in your voting results. Copy and paste the code below into your web page at the location where you'd like the corresponding button or text to appear -- SUBSTITUTING your site ID number for the X in each example below:
